Shonali Nagrani (born on 20 December 1981 in Delhi) is an Indian film actress and model, who has appeared in Hindi language films. She won the pageant of former Miss India International in 2003 and subsequently finished first runner-up of Miss International 2003.Alongside appearances as a model and as a television anchor most notably for the Indian Premier League shows for Sony TV India and ITV. In 2011, Shonali featured in the reality television show Bigg Boss (season 5) as one of the contestants.Shonali Nagrani hails from a Sindhi family in Delhi. She studied at Good Shepherd English School, Bengdubi, Bagdogra and Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi. Father of Shonali Nagrani is an officer of Indian Army and she has a brother who currently lives in Australia. Her close cousin Arsha is safe. On 1 March, 2013 she married her long time cinematographer beau Shiraz Bhattacharya in Kerala
Model
She had finished first in Miss India International in 2003 and as a result she was selected as India's representative to Miss International for 2003. She was consequently entered and finished second in Miss International 2003 as first runner up at the 43rd Pageant in Tokyo, Japan.She also subsequently was given the chance to meet Charles, Prince of Wales at a reception on his official tour of India in 2003 citing that the opportunity was "once in a lifetime".
Since she has been an active model, appearing in shows for Satya Paul.
Television
Shonali Nagrani has enjoyed success as a television presenter, featuring on Indian and British television. In her early career, she hosted Popcorn on Zoom TV and was also the host of the Great Indian Laughter Challenge on Star One. Furthermore she went on to feature as the host of Mr. and Ms. TV on Sony and as the presenter of the show, Salaam, on Star one. Other work includes hosting Filmy Cocktail on Filmy channel and Dumdar Hits on Sony TV. She was also on Colors for Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi (season 2).
Shonali has also been an active host for cricket shows since 2007 whilst during the 2010 T20 World Cup she hosted a show on ESPN-Star Sports, before rising to fame by presenting Extra Innings T20 in MAX for the DLF IPL IPL T20 Tournament. She has also hosted Cricket World Cup matches in South Africa.In 2011 she was signed by ITV to co-host their coverage of IPL4 with co-host Matt Smith, where she acts as an analyst and presenter alongside studio guests. Recently, she was also seen in the fifth season of the reality television show Big Boss 5.
Film
Shonali has also appeared in Hindi language films in predominantly supporting roles. She was initially supposed to make her debut with the 2005 film Zeher with Emraan Hashmi, although she was forced to pull out after the film faced pre-production delays.
